The "slaughterhouse" in Kailahun District, where the war began in 1991, when rebels crossed the border from neighboring Liberia. The rebels slaughtered dozens of people with machetes in the rooms of this unfinished house. It has remained untouched, although locals talk about turning it into a museum, to commemorate those who died.
